Who R U Picking?

For anyone arguing boxing is dead and MMA has taken over you need to check out this fight. Mosley will no doubt push the action and try to win rounds by impressing the judges by throwing more punch per round. Mayweather will be more defensive and pick his spots trying to win rounds by imposing his will on Mosley. Mosley is one guy out there who actually has the hand speed and ring experience to hang with For anyone arguing boxing is dead and MMA has taken over you need to check out this mega fight. “Random Accurate Thoughts” by CTS Staff

-Zorilla in the 3 hole??? I always thought that spot ws reserved for your best all around hitter…AKA Evan Longoria.
-If the greatest closer of all time Mo Rivera can come in to the game in the 8th inning I’m pretty sure Rafeal Soriano can handle a 4 out save.
-How much is former USF reciever Carlton Mitchel kicking himself for leaving after his junior year considering he wasn’t drafted till the 6th round and to add insult to injury it was to the Browns. OUCH
-What is up with George Selvie getting no love. He went in the 7th round but could be the next Simeon Rice.
-The Bolts don’t have the defensemen to play a wide open style of play… former Devils [...] Read More..

“Choose Wisely” by Justin Keller

Choose Wisely: Kevin Kennedy V. Brian Anderson

Typically, a “by committee” approach in sports means that nobody is good enough to win the job outright. Tampa Bay sports fans have witnessed the quarterback by committee (’09 Bucs), running back by committee (again, 09’ Bucs) and the closer by committee (’09 Rays). All failed and some even gave us a hearty chuckle. So when the Rays announced that Kevin Kennedy and Brian Anderson would be the color analysts for Rays’ broadcasts, naturally by committee, subconscious thoughts of ineptness were surely floating in many Bay Area brains.
Surprisingly having the two parties has worked out pretty well. However, this is a position battle and somebody has to win. Choose wisely.
Both have positive attributes [...] Read More..

“Point the Finger”

What’s up Joe? Is it me or does Joe Maddon constantly over manage? I mean, the guy just has to put his finger print on every game. Overall, he is not the worst manager in Rays history; I would take him over Larry Rothschild or Hal McRea any day. He’s upbeat and positive and I think for the most part the players have responded. I agree with the shift defensively , but my main beef is with him sitting our starters in APRIL!!! I understand the thinking trying to stay fresh and have the players ready down the stretch, but come on Joe, you have to win NOW!!! In order to stay in the hunt and not give any games [...] Read More..
