Hi, I’m earth. Have we met?

Effort is the one and only thing an athlete can control. If playing hard for yourself and the thrill of victory is not enough how about playing hard for your teamates, for your coaches, for the fans and most importantly for the owner of the team(the guy writing your paychecks). With that said there is zero reason for a major league baseball player to not give his all on every play of every game. I understand the season is long and can become tiresome but let’s be real. You are playing a sport for a career and getting paid well above the average citizen for it. Not only that but you really only have to concentrate for 3-4 hours a day [...] Read More..

“Random Accurate Thoughts”

-It’s about that time for the Rays to bring up Jeremy Hellickson and see what the kid can do.
-USA winning another game in the World Cup could finally be the push the MLS has been looking for after failing with bringing in big name foreign starts such as David Beckham.
-Didn’t you just know Pat Burrell would catch on somehwere and be the player the Rays thought he was and are still paying him to be.
-Joe Maddon is 100% an N.L. manager at heart so give him a chance. Fire him and promote Dave Martinez.
-Is it me or does US soccer player Landon Donovan dissapear in the biggest games? I know he just scored one of the biggest goals in US [...] Read More..

USA Wins 1-0 over Algeria

Facing elimantion team USA stepped their game up and will advance to the final 16 with a dramatic 1-0 victory over Algeria.  USA completely dominated the second half  but were running out of time when the clock hit 90 minutes. That’s when the unbelievable happened. With just 4 minutes remaining in the injury time Landon Donovan shocked the world with a beautiful goal from 8 yards out. Donovan started the counterattack and after a missed shot from Jozy Altidore and a tip from Clint Dempsey, Donovan found himself in the right place at the right time. He had this to say about one of the biggest goals in United States soccer history, "I’ve been through a lot in the last four years. [...] Read More..

“Point The Finger”

Wade Davis vs. Jeremy Hellickson???
The Rays starting pitching is no doubt the strong point of the team and carried them early in the season to a first place record. With the hitting and defense not nearly as strong as years past it is even more important for the starters to keep them in the game. With that said number 5 starter Wade Davis could be pitching himself out of the rotation. Davis, 24, came into spring training as the favorite for that spot and did enough to win the job. After an impressive season in Triple A in 2009 and a solid 6 starts in the bigs last September Davis came into the season hoping to build on a promising career. However, [...] Read More..

“Random Accurate Thoughts”

-Dioner Navarro has to be sent down to Durham. It makes no sense for the Rays to carry 3 catchers on the roster.
-With the Bolts hiring Stevie Y. as GM they will win Lord Stanley’s Cup within 5 years.
-The Bolts hiring Guy Boucher as coach is refreshing instead of just hiring the same old re-tred coaches that have already been fired 5 times.
-For all the hype coming into the 2010 Fifa World Cup once the games start it’s still just soccer and you know what they say about soccer, "you play to tie the game!"
-Celtic’s will win game 7 of the NBA Finals.
-Is it just me or are you sick of Phil Jackson and all his zen-like BS. Trying to [...] Read More..
