Point The Finger

Point The Finger…
John Jaso vs. Dioner Navarro vs. Kelly Shoppach
This week’s let’s discuss the 3 way catching platoon the Rays have going right now and who should stay and who should go. Starting with Navarro, a fromer All-Star, who can’t hit his weight. Back in 2008 if you watched his hits they were all bloop single and duck snorts that got over the infielders head. He never hits line drives and is terrible at blocking balls behind the plate. On to the rookie, John Jaso, who burst onto the scene and hasn’t stopped hitting since being called up when then starting catcher Kelly Shoppach got injured and went on the D.L. Jaso has been consistent and showed so much patience [...] Read More..

Random Accurate Thoughts

-David Price clinched the CY Young award with a victory Thursday against the Yankees
-Right now, today, Dan Johnson is the Rays best option at first base. Sorry Carlos
-Reid Brignac deserves some AB’s down the stretch and in the playoffs
-Bucs safety Tanard Jackson is a moron. You can retire by 30 with millions of dollars and smoke as much weed as you want. Just wait!
-Is it me or does Josh Freeman look like the best QB from the 2009 class??? Stafford will probably be better but Sanchez sucks.
-Let Earnest Graham have a bigger role. That guy can play.
-USF Bulls QB B.J. Daniels hopefully learned something from the UF game. Like how to throw the ball away.

Point The Finger: Rays Postseason Roster

Point The Finger: Rays Postseason Roster

The Rays are on their way to playing in the postseason. This will be only the second time in franchise history they will make the playoffs. The first being their magical run in 2008. So now that they are in, barring a monumental collapse over the last 13 games of the season, final decisions on the playoff roster must be made.
MLB rules state you may only have 25 players on your roster in the playoffs. The first round is a best of five series.
With that in mind, the main decisions for the Rays staff will be going with only 3 starting pitchers or 4, keeping 2 or 3 catchers, which outfielders have shown the most [...] Read More..
