Random Accurate Thoughts

-The Bucs are nowhere close to being as good as their 5-2 record and are going to get smoked by the Falcons this Sunday 24-13.
-The Bucs are much improved from last season’s 3-13 record and have proven they can beat bad teams.
-The Bolts may be the most exciting team in the NHL.
-Lightnig GM Steve Yzerman need to lock up Steven Stamkos to a long term deal ASAPossible.
-I’m starting to think USF quarterback B.J. Daniels was a little over hyped and overrated coming into this season.
-It was good to see the Bulls seniors go out with a victory and atleast go 1-3 vs. Rutgers for their careers.

Point The Finger: Pat Burrell

Point The Finger: Pat Burrell
It seemed to be a perfect fit. One side was in need of a right handed power hitting outfielder (the Rays) and the other side was in need of a contract (Pat Burrell). The two came together in the off season before the 2009 season. The Tampa Bay Rays signed veteran outfielder Pat Burrell to a 2-year, 16 million dollar contract. Some experts at the time thought the Rays got him for a steal. Then again Bobby Abreu signed a 1-year, 5 million dollar deal that off season too. But we all know how Rays manager Joe Maddon is obsessed with righty-lefty match ups and manipulating the lineup. It all made perfect sense. It was suppose [...] Read More..

Random Accurate Thoughts

-Can you imagine how good the Rays outfield would have been with a healthy Crawford, Hamilton and Baldeli? Sick…
-As crazy as it may sound, I believe the Rays should let Benoit walk if he’s asking for more than 2-3 million per season. I love the guy but the Rays got an unreal season out of him that cannot be duplicated. Be happy with that and cut ties. He’s 33 years old will most likely get a better offer elsewhere.
-It is so naive for Rays fans to believe there is even .01% chance Carl Crawford stays. And I don’t blame him.
-I really do like Raheem Morris. He’s confident but doesn’t it always seem like he’s trying to sell something. It’s always [...] Read More..

Week in Review : USF 38- Cin 30

South Florida – The USF Bulls took a big step forward in turning their season around with a 38-30 victory Thursday night versus Big East rival Cincinnati. After losing two games in a row the Bulls stepped it up in a major way. Their conference record is now 1-2 and 4-3 overall. They still have a chance at their first ever Big East title but will most likely have to win out in their remaining conference schedule. The Bulls still face off against Pittsburgh, Louisville, and Connecticut. Bulls quarterback B.J. Daniels seemed to tap into that potential everyone was hyping before the season started. The Bulls finally took advantage of what he does well, which will be imperative to their [...] Read More..

Random Accurate Thoughts

-It’s official…Joe Maddon is the worst manager in the MLB. Proof??? If he were fired today there’s no way any other team would even consider hiring him for anything other than bench coach.
-Time to lock up Dave Martinez as "Manager in waiting" before it’s too late.
-David Price  should win the Cy Young this season but the ALDs proved he isn’t yet an elite pitcher. He is a stud and a true ace but not in the class of the Hallday, Lincecum, Lee types.
-How bad is it going to hurt watching Craford come into town next season wearing pinstripes.
-Re-siging Joaquin Benoit should be the number one priority of the offseason.
-After starting the season 3-1 the Bucs actually have a chance to [...] Read More..
